Energy Psychology
Energy psychology (EP) is a family of integrative approaches to psychotherapy, coaching, and healthcare treatment rooted in mind-body healing traditions that are up to 5,000 years old. EP methods blend the bio-energetic insights of these traditions with the best of contemporary psychological practice.
Energy psychology methods are more focused, goal oriented and active than conventional therapies. They work with the body’s energy systems (e.g. meridians, chakras) to create a change in your perception and experience.
Most non-energy psychotherapies engage only thought and emotion. However, energy psychology activates emotion, cognition, the physical body and energy system within a single session. This may be why energy psychology approaches appear to work more quickly than conventional psychotherapy. Some of these modalities include brainspotting, EFT Tapping, and trapped energy releases
Most EP approaches are gentle and do not require that you relive traumatic memories. In addition, you will often learn self-help methods you can use on your own. EP approaches can rapidly help people reduce strong painful emotions, process traumatic events, shift limiting beliefs and live with greater love.
